ARTYr 9 – Homework Tasks – Autumn Term

Task 2:

Task 3:

Produce a detailed study of yourself looking into a reflective surface. This could be a kettle/spoon/shiny ball. Use Esher images as a reference and to inspire your work.

Task 6:Take a series of photographs of natural forms – try to be creative in your approach (zoom in). (shells/fossils/flowers/pods/skulls (A.O.3)Extension: You could manipulate using photoshop and/or other apps. Present on board or in your sketchbook.

Task 4:Written Analysis/Research (A.O.1)Produce a double page spread on at least one of the following artists. Nathan Oliviera/Antony Gormley/Jeanne BessettRefer to writing prompts and a more detailed brief to help you. Include images and write specifically about them using key art vocabulary and make sure to express your opinion.

Extension: Produce a mini project on your favourite artist. A visual presentation). For the Edge you could present what you have done and what you know to the class.

Task 1:Continue to work on the mind map (A.O.3) that you have started in class. “Identity”. Add as much information as you can. Make your mind map visually exciting (add thumbnail sketches) Use different materials.

Task 7: Produce a detailed study

(A.O.3/A.O.2) work from your favourite photo (really try to record what you see carefully and manipulate and explore the materials that you have chosen to use.

Task 5: Find and print song lyrics that

you like. Copy an element onto A4 but this time adapt the text to make it creative and Arty! See examples in class. Extension: Draw a part of a face and write the words inside of it (inspired by Sagmeister). (A.O.2)

Task 8: Mark Hearld visual copy or own

version (A.O.1/A.O.2). Annotate carefully. Extension: Present with some research about this artist.

Task 9: Blossfeldt copy (A.O1/A.O.3) Develop a tonal detailed study. Extension: Generate a series of photos inspired by this artist (black and white) and close-up
