Hank Aaron State Trail Use

• Between N. 121st Street and S. 94th Place, the Hank Aaron State Trail (HAST) is available to access work zones. The contractor does not have full rights to the HAST and will need to coordinate access withcontractors performing department work as part of the projectslisted in the Other Contracts article.

• Comply with subsection 107.17 of the standard specifications for allwork affecting Soo Line Railroad Company, d/b/a Canadian PacificRailway Company property. – Although this is the Hank Aaron State Trail (HAST) a Rails to Trails

corridor with no existing tracks it still considered an active line withthe Soo Line Railroad Company d/b/a Canadian Pacific RailwayCompany being the underlying property owner. As a result railroad insurance is still required.

Changes to OCIP safety manual

• PE required on standby to respond to ANY deviation from submitted demolition or erection plans.

• Temporary chain‐link fence to be used for public protection.

• Holes need to be covered, marked and secured. • If OSHA modifies and standing regulations OCIP will immediately conform to the latest published rules.

   

                                                                         

                                                          

     

Crane inspection protocols

• If a lattice boom crane is delivered for use on the Zoo Program or, a lattice boom crane leaves the OCIP and returns they require a FULL annual 3rd

Party Inspection prior to use. • Hydro’s only require a current annual inspection prior to use on the Zoo Program.

• All cranes >20 ton rating require CCO or OECP • A crane inventory shall be maintained for units >20 ton for the duration of the project with arrive/leave and inspection dates.
