2018 – 2019 Program Partner Request for Proposals (RFP) Page 1 PROJECT CITIES AT ASU Project Cities is a 12-24 month partnership between Arizona State University’s Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability (GIOS) and one partnering Arizona city that engages students and faculty from different ASU departments on a menu of sustainability and livability projects. Students work through studio and catalytic learning courses providing hands-on research, designs, and deliverables to projects. Students bring energy, enthusiasm, and innovative approaches to difficult, persistent city problems. Project Cities’ primary value derives from collaborations resulting in on-the-ground impact and forward movement for a community ready to transition to a more sustainable and livable future. Communities proposing projects related to and within the Rio Salado Corridor will be given special consideration due to developing opportunities with this regional project. To apply for the Project Cities program fill out the following information pages completely. To submit your response to the RFP, follow these steps: Step 1: Contact Project Cities Staff Step 2: Secure Support in Your Community Step 3: Identify Potential Projects Step 4: Provide Supporting Documents Step 5: Respond to the RFP with: A designated primary point of contact who will work closely with the Project Cities staff. A description for each proposed project for collaboration with ASU courses. For all projects include the name of the project lead, project information, and attach any relevant documents. List and send internal letters of support from upper management and partner organizations teaming with you on projects. 1
