Cooperation between the 3 Communities• Flemish Community: leading role and presiding the Council of the

ministers of Youth

• Germanspeaking Communitiy: spokesperson and formulating the

official position during the meetings of the Council

• In close and permanent cooperation amongst the key role players of

the 3 communities: ministries, national agencies, youth councils,

youth researchers

Aims of the Convention

• To show the diversity of youth work and its impact on young

people and society (pan-European)• To take up from existing European discussions and policy

processes on strategic themes and bring these further to give

impetus to new processes• To boost European cooperation and networking amongst youth

workers to reinforce youth work• To address messages to states, EU/EC, CoE, YFJ, … some of

which can and will be taken on board in the political follow-up

under the Belgian presidency
