Fetch! a targeted and loyal community of dog owners with the only local brand speaking specifically to those impacting your bottom line.

C O M M U N I T Y

Partner with HauteDog, and your marketing message will reach one of the fastest-growing demographics in America. We offer more than just a brand…we represent a lifestyle. We've reformatted our publishing to better serve the community. For 2012 and beyond, we will publish two editions, instead of four, as in previous years. The first is SPRING - The Ultimate Guide for Austin Area Dog Lovers; and in the FALL we'll present the HauteDog calendar with a pullout magazine-style insert and Bark Bucks coupons.

W H Y A D V E R T I S E ?Our Readers Are Your Potential Customers. Since 2009 our readers have subscribed, and picked up the magazine at our partner locations because they enjoy the quality, embrace the local focus, and also know we deliver reliable information and great resources specific to their interests.

You Get a Loyal, Engaged Community of Dog Lovers. We speak to this loyal community of dog lovers through timely editorial, a robust website, social media, contests and events.

Quality. We are the Greater Austin area’s only dog-centric publication delivering informative, interesting and fresh articles presented in an eye-catching design, and showcased in a full size, full color format. We also are proud to partner with local award-winning photographers. Lasting Impact. HauteDog magazine isn’t thrown away at the end of the day, the week or the month. Our readers keep it around for future reference and pass it along to friends. They reference the resource pages year round.

We Give Back In 2011, we donated more than $12,000 to non-profits via advertising space and in-kind product donations.

In the past 5 years, HauteDog magazine has gifted back to the community over $20,000 in advertising, silent auction donations and free promotional pages for non-profits as well as our time as a non-paid volunteer staff.

"We just got our first dog, and the information that we found in your magazine helped us tremendously as we sourced local service providers. The Fido-Friendly food spots and the pages with the Rescue Groups listed gave us a roadmap to enjoy the community with Majek (our dog)and gift back our time as well. " - JC and Bev Kelley

"Simply put.. the best collection of info for any local dog owner. EVERY city should have "The Ultimate Guide" with all of the listing and dog park info in one spot. We keep it in the car and use the online edition too, which I have shared will all of my dog- friends!. Well done!!" - Camron Guiterrez

Microchips should last a lifetime and do not need to be replaced or charged. In the rare occasion that the chip migrates away from your dog’s shoulder blades, a scanner should be able to pick up the signals from anywhere in the body. Most veterinary clinics and pet shelters have a scanner for immediate identification. An annual visit to your vet to check that the microchip is still functioning, and making sure your contact information is always current are also highly recommended.

A study of more than 7,700 stray animals at animal shelters showed that dogs without microchips were returned to their owners 21.9% of the time, whereas microchipped dogs were returned to their owners 52.2% of the time. cats without microchips were reunited with their owners only 1.8% of the time, whereas microchipped cats went back home 38.5% of the time. (Lord et al, JAVMA, July 15, 2009)

often times a stray pet will be colleted by a good samaritan and taken to a veterinarian’s office for a ‘scan’ to locate a microchip and then the vet’s office can notify the owner. n
