(a) Cut PVC tubes to desired length (determined by tube location) as shown in figure 10 (planter is in lowered or planting position). DO NOT CUT OFF PVC TUBE END WITH BEVELED INSIDE DIAMETER! Lower end of tube should reach opening in platform.

(b) Connect PVC seed drop tubes to 4-way Splitter drop tubes with clear flexible tube connectors (provided by ALMACO). Make sure the end of the tube with the beveled inside diameter is connected here (or used as the upper end of the tube).

Slide excess flexible tubing over PVC tubes.

Use ALMACO provided plastic pads between clamp and flexible tubing.

Clamp flexible tubing to lower end of PVC tube.

Flexible tubing should telescope in and out of metering unit funnel.

STEP - 11 Connect flexible seed drop tubes to ALMACO PVC seed drop tubes

(a) Insert flexible tubing into metering unit funnel. When planter is in raised position and row unit is in its lowest position, metering unit funnel should still overlap flexible tubing by a minimum of 2-1/2”.

(b) Slide excess flexible tubing over PVC tubes and clamp flexible tubing to bottom of PVC tubes. Use two ALMACO provided plastic pads between clamp and flexible tubing. Leave enough flexible tubing below PVC tube to keep it engaged with metering unit funnel when planter is in raised and lowered positions.

NOTE: Too much flexible tubing between PVC tube and metering unit funnel can hinder seed flow or cause seed hang-up.
