Owners please note:- Dogs must be on a lead in all areas. There is a designated zone for dogs off a lead. Dogs are not permitted on Barden Moor or Barden Fell Access Areas, including the Valley of Desolation and Simon’s Seat. DISABLED ACCESS - Electric mobility scooters available (Apr-Oct) for a small donation from the Village and Cavendish Giſt Shops. Manual wheelchairs available all year round. See map for access routes. FISHING - Fly fishing by permit only. LITTER - Please recycle wherever possible in the bins and compounds provided. LOST PROPERTY - Please report lost or found property to the Village or Cavendish Shop. RIVER WHARFE - Rubber dinghies and canoes can be put on the river, at the owner’s risk, between the Cavendish Wooden Bridge and the Stepping Stones. RIVER BATHING - Not recommended. Beware of rapid changes in water level, deep pools, undercurrents and submerged rocks. Please do not disturb the anglers who also enjoy the river. MOORLANDS - May be closed due to risk of fire or shooting. Please check boards at moorland access points. Dogs prohibited. BARBECUES - Welcome in the designated area of the Riverside car park only. Designated bins for COLD barbecue waste. PICNICS - Welcome on the estate. Please do not feed the livestock. FIRES - No. NOISE - No music. Please respect the peace and quiet of the countryside. WINTER ICE - Car parks are gritted. Woodland and riverside paths are untreated as rock salt harms ground vegetation.
