The entrance to the Abbey is through a couple of helipads, situated next to a cricket pitch, in front of a restaurant having a large car park.

So literally you land on a helipad from the bus.

From the bus stand you need to go right to reach this helipad. If you go left then you will only find horse poo after horse poo, signs that you should get your bearings right.

Well, you can always ask the person at the private sauna centre present there.

A fifteen minute walk from the helipad through many trees and couple of fence gates takes you to the front of the Abbey.

Your wander towards the structure, ruined by the passage of time, is a fast flowing stream which must have seen the Bolton Abbey at its heyday.

If only it had a vocal mouth, it could have described us the pomp of the abbey. But it leaves us only to wonder and speculate its past.

It must have been a home to numerous peaceful catholic Christians, But now the Abbey has to be content with housing only graves,Its ever changing reflection must be adding to its misery,Its high time that UK govt. start giving it back its past glory.

Perfect square shaped stones,Lying aimlessly in the middle of the stream,Weathering its force year in and out,Only for a free soul to find the real purpose,Of its existence.

As you cross the stream,You might come across a lot of dark walkways,Luring you to go through them and take a wander through the valleys of the hills around the Abbey.

But trust me guys, the only thing you will find greeting you on the other side are:

CowsCows And even more cows……...

But if you happen to take a few correct turns,You might come across a huge money trunk,Yeah that’s right…nor a plant neither a tree but a trunk,Still it doesn’t make u rich even by a penny.

It is a wonderful place to sit,And catch up with your old friends,Talk about politics or science or anything that inspires you,Or admire the beautiful scenic beauty that the place has to offer.

Well you can trust everything in UK,But the weather.And when it rains in the abbey,Its as heavy as you could have ever imagined,To walk through the downpour back to the bus stop is tedious,But what awaits you on the other side….is more than refreshing…. A Hot Cup of Tea……
