SHI-ASIA COMPANY LIMITED formerly known as Samsung Heavy Industries (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is one of the Group of Companies in Republic of Korea. It has expanded its production lines to Thailand and set up a factory at T. Mapkha, Nikompattana Sub-District, Rayong Province due to the economic growth and many huge construction projects in eastern seaboard and all other areas of the country. The factory includes a working area of more than 59,000 m2 which can produce and fabricate steel structures, oil and chemical products storage tanks with a capacity of 30,000 tons annually. Initial investment on factory construction is more than 143 Million Baht.

SHI-ASIA COMPANY LIMITED (called “SHI-ASIA”) is taking advantages of manufacturing numerous storage tanks, steel structures and other related equipment from the boom of petrochemical, refinery and power plant projects in Thailand as well as her neighborhood countries, spurred by the projection of high demand growth.

In 2001, SHI-ASIA started to include the plant service and maintenance works in its business. It creates and develops a maintenance group that will serve the various oil refineries and petrochemical plants in Thailand. It focuses on cost efficient scheme with a high quality service.

At present SHI-ASIA operates under joint management team of Koreans, Thai engineers and foreign experts also having qualified welders and skilled workers. SHI-ASIA, will create job opportunity in this region and contribute to the development of local communities.

As a main goal, SHI-ASIA focuses on the spirit of contributing to the development of heavy industries globally, and providing high technology and services wherever it is necessary.
