Dual Language Immersion (DLI) in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles is a model of education in which students matriculate through grades TK (or even pre-school) through grade 8 learning content in two languages, English and Spanish. Students also experience daily prayers, Masses, celebrations, and performances in both languages. DLI is an additive response to the needs of diverse, multi-lingual communities from across Los Angeles. Immersed in language, culture, and faith our students will graduate with the ability to navigate larger social networks and communities better.

Doble Leanguaje Inmersión (DLI) en la Arquidiócesis de Los Ángeles es un modelo de educación en que los alumnos se inscriben desde TK (o incluso pre escolar) hasta el grado 8 aprendiendo contenido en dos idiomas, Inglés y español. Los estudiantes también experimentan oraciones diarias, misas, fiestas y actuaciones en los dos idiomas. DLI es una respuesta adicional a las necesidades de las diversas comunidades en todo Los Ángeles. Hemos venido rezando por varias semanas para animarlos jun-to con sus familias a aumentar su ofrenda, esta ofrenda no es motivada de un mero deseo de pedir y pedir, sino es basada en la necesidad que la Parroquia experimenta debido al alto costo de la vida. Esta es nuestra casa y esperamos que tu ofrenda pueda reflejar el amor y celo que tienes hacia la Casa de Dios. El 16–17 de Diciembre, estaremos distribuyendo las tarjetas del compromiso y desde ya “Contamos Contigo”. John the Baptist is a model. He redirected the spotlight cast on him to the one he announced. How easy it would have been to claim some of that, but instead he humbled himself. Ask god for humility to proclaim the Good News of the Lord faithfully. Do this not to be recognized for your efforts but for the glory of the Messiah. Juan el Bautista es un modelo a seguir. El desvió la atención que recibía hacia aquél a quine había anunciado. Qué fácil hubiera sido atribuirse parte de ellos; en lugar de eso demostró humillada. Pidió a Dios humildad para proclamar fielmente la Buena Nueva del Señor. Hada usted esto no para que sus esfuerzos sean reconocidos sino por la gloria del Mesías.

En el nombre del Padre… Amen. Acto de Contrición. Guía: Reconozcamos ante Dios que somos pecadores. Todos: Yo confieso ante Dios todopoderoso... La Palabra de Dios (2 Pedro 3,13-14) “Nosotros esper-amos según la promesa de Dios cielos nuevos y tierra nueva, un mundo en que reinará la justicia. Por eso, queridos hermanos, durante esta espera, esfuércense para que Dios los halle sin mancha ni culpa, viviendo en paz". Palabra de Dios. Te alabamos Señor.

Breve pausa para meditar Reflexión ¿Se notará que creemos de veras en Cristo? ¿Qué va a cambiar en mí, en nosotros en este Adviento? Encendido de la vela. Oración. Los profetas mantenían encendida la esperanza de Israel. Nosotros, como un símbolo, encendemos estas dos velas. El viejo tronco está rebrotando se estremece porque Dios se ha sembrado en nuestra carne Que cada uno de nosotros, Señor, te abra su vida para que brotes, para que florezcas, para que nazcas y mantengas en nuestro corazón encendida la esperanza. ¡Ven pronto, Señor! ¡Ven, Salvador! Amen.

In the name of the Father… Amen. Act of Contrition Guide: Let us acknowledge our sins. All: I confessed to Almighty God and to you… The Word of the Lord (2Peter 3,13-14) “But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and new earth, in which righteousness dwells. Therefore beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless”. Brief pause to meditate Reflection What will change in me, in each one of us during this Advent? Will it show that we truly believe in Christ? A person lights the second candle. Let us pray: Lord Jesus, Light of the World, the prophets said you would bring peace and save your people from trouble. Give peace in our hearts at Christmastide. We ask that as we wait for you to come again, that you would remain present with us. Help us today, and every day to worship you, to hear your word, and to do your will by sharing your peace with each other. We ask it in the name of the one who was born in Bethlehem. O Come Lord, Come! Amen.
