A passion for this message: yes it needs to be restored

He has holy reflexes towards the evil He abhors

The mass prefers the pleasures that sin easily affords

We should be in awe, His sweetness should keep us floored

Sin's radical infection is the reason we get bored

Repeatedly we snore, He's frequently ignored

We explore evil lusts leaving us greedy for more

The Master's recollection of our evil He records

We have zero protection because He is keeping score

It's bad for every section, there's no passing His inspection

Because we're lacking the perfection that we need to be secure

Everlasting dissection: the unbeliever's reward

Disaster for rejection of the truth- Jesus is Lord!

But He will put a stop to the evil and apostasy,

The devious hypocrisy, the fallenness of man

No weeping or apologies, no sneakiness or bribery

will keep the Lord from honoring His law and its demands

Denial of His majesty is totally insane

The title of His masterpiece is "Holy is His name"!

Tune in with concentration as we resume the conversation

The loftiest thoughts conceivable for human contemplation

Trying to search the mysteries of the divine is real deep

And when it comes to the nature of God, at times we still sleep

We must risk people tuning us out as we discuss this

The topic on the table for reflection? God's Justice

The Scriptures are clear: salvation belongs to God alone

And that righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne

He's the priceless gift and treasure, all life exists for His pleasure

And He is the standard by which all righteousness should be measured

All human judges fail- no need to share the statistics

But God judges perfectly due to His characteristics

First, He's omniscient, so He never lacks information

Secondly, His understanding: it has no limitations

Plus He knows the thoughts and all the motives behind them

And no one could ever go hide in a place where the Sovereign LORD cannot find them

When passing a sentence, He has the power of execution

The proper retribution for our private revolutions

And He's in the position to smash us for our treason

No one'll be copping pleas when God dispatches all His legions

To execute the sentence on resolute defendants

Who rejected the truth because they never knew repentance

And those who stood against the Great I Am and His Anointed

When God judges the nations through the Man He has appointed

As we continue to consider this particular perfection

Let's take a second to address a few misconceptions

When many think of God they assume His love is a must

That's true, but it doesn't negate the fact that God is just

So when we say this, they'll wanna take us off the play list

But God is never under obligation to be gracious

See, justice and mercy are two separate categories

And God is the one who chooses which way He'll have His glory

The choices The Holy One certainly can't be faulted

In punishing the guilty, His righteousness is exalted

He also rewards the righteous, we kind of/ sort of like this

The problem of course is that nobody who's born is righteous

Because of Adam's descendants are inherently filthy

That's problematic for a God who will not clear the guilty

If God is gonna save us and demonstrate what His love is

It must be in a manner that's consistent with His justice

Jesus Christ, The Righteous One, the perfect solution

Proving that God is just on the basis of substitution

Perfect obedience, consecration without a flaw

Yet, on the cross He suffered the condemnation of the law

So now God is able to be just and the justifier

Of all who turn from their sin and place their trust in Messiah

The resurrected Lord is our infinite treasure truly

He gives us new eyes to see His justice in all its beauty!

When I speak of God's mercy, I'm speaking of His tendency

If God didn't intervene, we'd all perish eventually

In His great mercy, He gave us the remedy

Now let's get straight to the topic, God's love is weighty to process

And apart from the Holy Spirit, we're unable to digest

Because man's depraved in his logic, so God's haters will mock it

But inter-trinitarian love should make us astonished

Imagine the Son enjoying the embrace of His Father

Eternally paying Him homage as He bathed in His knowledge

Equally faithful and sovereign, gracious, patient and honest

Cosmic greatness blazing with radiance- conscious

Holy Spirit also present, full display of His God-ness

No creation could watch this- it wasn't safe for their optics

What an awesome scene in heaven with all esteem and reverence

It's Psalm 16:11 as conveyed through the prophet

Overflow of joy and love, the Father made Him a promise

The fact He allows the sun to rise on this evil planet

Some call it common grace, but I'm inclined to state

that it's the love of God shining from a place that beyond time and space

They say, "If God is love, what's eternal torment for?"

Well, He loves the world for sure, but He loves His glory more!

Would be the love of God that He expresses towards the elect

What's amusing is God just laughs, like "Who is this"?

It's only by God's power you exist

When before you were born, He formed you in the uterus?

Look- Our God is in the heavens and He does all that He pleases

He's established His King in Zion and His name is Jesus!

From His purpose of election, and to birth, to our perfection

To see when they crucified Him, nobody had imagined it

Not only was a part of the plan to save but the climax of it

He's gonna get glory, we're created to be His instruments

His reign's inexhaustible- His rule is truly infinite

The perfections of God are not affected at all by human opinion

Everything in the universe is under His control and His rule and dominion

And there's nothing in the world that could ever could come to pass at last unless He first

decreed it

If we dive in His word we can read it, see all of His purposes completed

With discernment you'll see God turns it where He's determined according to His plans

You gotta get a focused lens to truly understand where His control extends (everywhere)

And I know that this offends, but the truth is the grossest sins serve His ultimate ends

You might not hear it from your favorite pastor

But He made the wicked for the day of disaster

Sinners unacquainted with the way of the Master

We have to explain what is plain in the chapters

He's sovereign over creation and sovereign over salvation

I wouldn't want to say this if it wasn't based in His revelation

It's kind of stunning, men ignore His throne, the creature's lost it

Oblivious to the fact their lie has been discovered

So as they embrace and try to make haste

They have no idea what’s about to take place

Gun in hand, he longs to understand

What would lead his wife into the arms of another man?

He thinks back to the day they made their vows

Before God, before the minister and the crowds

Exchange of the rings, the joy of the reception

Now a tainted memory destroyed by deception

He had been faithful to her

Now the fire of his desire got him ready to do something hateful to her

He never thought his wife would be just a faker

And that her lust would make her a covenant breaker

The promise of fidelity they made was glorious

But now His jealousy has made him furious

And they can't see the danger

No screams or pleas they make could ever ease the pain or appease his anger

He kicks open the door- they jump out of the bed

"Don't move!" is all he said, gun pointed at his head

The screams of his wife as she clutches the covers close

Her lover spoke to plead for his life

The husband says to the guy- "Look me in my eye

My face will be the last thing you see before you die"

The husband cried inside- his love was bona fide

to acquaint us with a faint taste of this

A wife for her husband or husband for wife

The only time jealousy is right in this life

But just as the distance is great between earth and stars

God's thoughts are much higher than ours

So His jealousy is on a whole other level

Unintelligible to the soul of a rebel

But in sacred Scripture, God paints the picture

The aim: to shake your frame- it straight convicts ya

And that's what it should do

God's jealousy is frightful, yet it's delightful and good, too

I couldn't think of much worse if I tried

than a dude who smirks if you flirt with His bride

So tell me, what kind of God would He be

If He wasn't bothered to see idolatry?

Is God just supposed to laugh and withhold His wrath

When He's replaced by a golden calf?

You say, I don't worship a golden calf!

Well for us, it's self and sex and loads of cash

Atrocious paths, we still don't know the half

Of how these things provoke His holy wrath

So we stand in awe and wonder how come

God took His jealous anger out on His Son

So all those trust Him can see like we're supposed to see

And be forgiven for our spiritual adultery!

In the farthest galaxies, my God has the glory

Because distance for God is a non-category

Amazingly, God is able to be

in Haiti and Greece, Jamaica and Sweden

Barbados, New Zealand, Lithuania, Egypt,

Malaysia, Tunisia and the Arabian Sea simultaneously!

Before Him everything is naked and exposed

That means there will be no escaping for His foes

God's presence in His wrath will torment the sinner in hell

But those who trust Christ- with them He will dwell
