From this month onwards we will be featuring a Star of the Month section in Breeze to showcase and appreciate the efforts of our employees who have put in exceptional performances. We hope that this

section will motivate and inspire all our readers!

In the April 2015 edition of Star of the Month, we wish to highlight the achievement

of our Regional Manager Mr. C. Karthik (Emp Code TK00140) in the Two Wheeler team of Tamil Nadu.

Karthik started his career in December 2003 at Shriram Chits - Adyar as a sales

executive. In 2004, he was promoted as a Team Leader in Shriram City’s Adyar branch.

After that he was promoted as Assistant Manager in 2007. Adyar, Thiruvanmayur, and

Velachery branches were under his supervision. From these branches he procured Rs 1.5

crores of consumer durable business.

In 2008, he was promoted as the Area Sales Manager (ASM) at Kumbakonam Division

which comprised of 15 branches. He increased the business of this division from Rs 2 crores

to Rs 12 Crores through TW & PL products. In addition, he was given the Trichy Division

and promoted to Divisional Manager in 2010, a role he held till 2013.

In 2014, he was promoted to Regional Manager of Kumbakonam and Trichy Divisions.

His average monthly business in the Two Wheeler and Personal Loan business segments is

Rs. 14 crores (Average of 3500 Two Wheelers) via 25 branches. In his division, Shriram City

has the major share of overall sales (28.61%) through dealers. Shriram City’s share of the

Tamil Nadu market is 13%, but in the Kumbakonam division alone he maintains a market

share of 28.61% (Total dealer sales + cash purchases). He is also maintaining enviable col-

lection percentage in TW 1-3 EMI Collection & PL , SPL arrears. In his division he maintains

a good rapport with Dealers and Customers.

In the above two divisions, Karthik has done a total business of 4,400 Two Wheelers

in January’15, and 3,800 in February’15, which is a substantial contribution to the state. In

collection area under Two wheeler segment –EMI- 1,2,3 buckets he is maintaining the best

performance in the state. We place on record our appreciation for the contributions made

by Karthik and wish him the very best for the future.

Shriram City (Chennai) conducted its Women’s Day celebrations on 20th March 2015

at BSC Santhome. The event saw women employees from Santhome, Luz, and R.R. Puram

offices get together to spend time on women’s issues as well as some fun and games.

Ms. Subhasri Sriram (ED, Shriram City) felicitated women employees who had

completed 20 years in their careers. In her address, Ms. Subhasri reminded the ladies

present to find time to look after their health, and develop hobbies. She also encouraged

the employees to look to their senior women colleagues for motivation and advice whenever

balancing a career and home became too difficult.

A special session on Women’s Health was conducted by Dr. Lakshmi Srinivasan (DGO.,

DNB (OG)., Dip. In Reproductive Med.). The interactive session was useful and informative for

all the employees, and Dr. Lakshmi answered several doubts and queries.

The evening ended on a light note with games and group activities. Gifts purchased

from employee contributions were also distributed to the housekeeping and security staff of

Shriram City.
