PAPUA NEW GUINEA | Postal History1747 * 1946 Higatura trimmed creased brown paper envelope inscribed “Official”, unfranked and registered to Sydney, from “A.D.O./ TUFI/

PAPUA” with contents dated Oct 24, 1946 returning “three enclosed envelopes” explaining that the request to register them couldnot be complied with “as Tufi has no Official Post Office”. Envelope has bright red “T 1/9” but whether this was collected is not cleardue cut down state. Backstamps include an incomplete ‘RELIEF’ cds. $60
