Illustrated below is a range ofToggle Lever Valves for easyoperation. When fitted with ared and blue indexed ball theyare even easier to operate forthe blind, disabled, elderlyand small children.

NC2722 Knee-action Valve.The foremost application forthis valve is in installationswhere hygiene is of the utmostimportance. Using a knee-operated valve reduces the riskof cross infection that canoccur where hand-operatedvalves are used. Hospitals,laboratories and clinics, andestablishments where food isserved or manufactured areexamples of where these valvesshould be specified.

The knee-operated valve is alsorecommended for use ininstitutions where handicappedor frail patients have difficulty inusing conventional water fittings.The Barwil knee-operated valveis normally installed at aconvenient height under thebasin or sink, and can beoperated with a light pressurewith the knee in any direction.All metal parts of the fitting arechromium-plated and thecontrol lever is fitted with anon-slip knee pad.

Where the valve is used with aspray nozzle it is recommendedthat the water supply should beat a maximum temperature of43°C (109°F).For swannecks to accompanythis valve, please refer to page 10.W.R.A.S. listed.

Non-Concussive Grip Valves (Self Closing)

NC2733 Grip ValveWith insulated handle and body.Designed for attaching to the endof flexible rubber or metallictubing. These valves areparticularly suitable for swillingdown purposes as the flow ofwater is easily remote controlledfrom the source of supply. Forexample, it can be specified for usein hotel kitchens, food processingplants and hospital sluice andautopsy rooms. The insulatedhandle and body make this valvesafe to handle when used with hotwater. The valve can be suppliedwith jet or rose attachments asillustrated on page 10, and isavailable in chromium plate orbrass finish. Size 1⁄2"only.

The Barwil Non-concussivevalve is adjustable undervarying pressures whilst it isfixed and in use. Remove theeasy-clean shield (A) which isgrub screwed to the mainbody. This will expose thesealing screw (B) which, whenremoved, allows access to theadjusting needle (C). This isslotted to take a smallscrewdriver and by turning thespindle down for high pressureand up for low pressure, thevalve can be regulatedperfectly. This mechanism isused in non-concussive valvesnumbered: 2722, 2724, 2726,2727, 2728, 2729, 2750,2754, 2780.
