CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
The Board of Trustees is seeking volunteers to assist with grounds maintenance at Beautiful Savior.
Our biggest need is for mowers (preferably teams of 2-3) and individuals to weed our landscaping beds.
Mowing solo is about a 5-6 hour job every week (pre-construction) with trimming needed every two
weeks. We have two riding Skag lawnmowers so a team of two should be able to complete the
mowing job in less than 3 hours. Gas powered trimmers are also available to complete the trimming work.
If you are interested in helping complete this big task, either for a short term or for the mowing season,
please contact Tom Chapin ([email protected]).
Like we did last year, if you would like to take on the weeding for a single area
for the growing season that would be very helpful. All the Trustees ask is that if
you are unable to keep up with your area that you let us know so that someone
else can take over.
Individuals wanting to weed on an ad hoc basis, either Pastor Schultz or Pam
Wellons ([email protected]) can direct you to the areas of biggest need for
weeding and answer any of your questions. We just ask that you let one of us
know what you were able to complete so that we can direct others to areas that
still need attention.
If others are also working outside when you come, please follow whatever the
current guidelines for virus spread control are currently in place at the time.

BACKSNACK PROGRAM DONATIONS – As many of
you know Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church has been
supporting the Pioneer Trail Middle School BackSnack
Program for years. Ever since the school year was
prematurely ended due to the Corona Virus Pandemic
supporting organizations have been asked to provide
not just items for the bags but ALL the food that goes
into the bags. Originally this was supposed to go
through the end of the school year but we have been
asked to continue that support throughout the
summer months as well. As you can imagine this is not
a cheap endeavor and it does take some man hours to
accomplish. If you would like to help please consider
one of the following; donating food items, helping
pack / deliver bags and providing monetary support to
help pay for the food. If you would like to help please
contact Pastor Ada ([email protected]) for more
details. If you would like to make a monetary donation
you can make a check out to Beautiful Savior Lutheran
Church, but please indicate on the check Pioneer Trail
BackSnack Program.
PLEASE REGISTER YOUR CHURCH ATTENDANCE
in the sign-up Genius that you will receive by email.
You may also email the church office
([email protected].) Please indicate all family members
that are in attendance with you. Just jot their names in
to make sure they are counted correctly. Thanks!
CHILDREN’S WORSHIP BAGS Donations are
requested for the creation of new “DENIM” children’s
worship bags. Please donate any size of Men’s Jeans
(new or used). If you have any questions, please see
Angela Hodge or Kristi Buckendahl. Donations can be
left in the wooden box/bin in the narthex. Thus far no

SUNDAY SCHOOL In today’s Bible lesson the
amazing account of ”An Enemy Coverts.” On the road
to Damascus, Saul encounters the risen Lord, who
converts him from a persecutor of the Church to its
greatest missionary – Paul. God sends Ananias to lay
hands upon the temporarily blinded Saul, baptizing
him in the name of the living God. Despite the
disciples’ distrust of Saul’s motives, Barnabas speaks
3
boldly on Saul’s behalf. Discuss, “How does the
conversion of Saul change the history of the world?”

Stewardship Corner
The Apostle Paul wrote, “For we are His workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus for good works…” (Ephesians 2:10).
We are God’s masterpieces filled with the Holy Spirit. With
the same power that God used in the beginning to create
man from dust and later to resurrect Jesus from the dead
(Ephesians 1:19-20), He raises us out of spiritual death and
makes us new people—His workmanship, transformed
stewards—whose works give evidence that we are new
creatures. By the Holy Spirit through Word and Sacrament,
we are brought into God’s kingdom. As new people living
under the power of the Gospel, we desire to honor God and
obediently do the good works He has planned for us to do.
Because Christ has redeemed us from all wickedness and
purified for “Himself a people for His own possession,” we are
zealous for good works (Titus 2:14).
OUR FINANCIAL OFFERING IS A WAY TO PUT OUR
FAITH AND TRUST IN THE LORD INTO ACTION.
“With a freewill offering I will sacrifice to You; I will give
thanks to Your name, O Lord, for it is good” (Psalm 54:6).
