The difficulty in coordination can be
address using several mechanism;
Informal communication- useful in breaking
down individual and organization barrier. By
locating the team member in same work
space, enhance the communication- Allen
(1997). Email or other IT mean also providethe effective way to communicate.

Meeting- is primary formal communication.
The teams locate in same work space need
fewer formal meeting than those whose in
geographically separate. A good meeting is
intend to be quick that consist of written
agenda and someone to run the meeting
(better at same place same time).

Schedule display- important information
system in project execution (usually PERT or
Gantt chart). Someone should responsible
for monitoring the schedule
Weekly updates the weekly status memo is
written by the project leader and distribute
on paper or email. Consist of the list of key
accomplishment, decision and even of the
past week.

such as functional organization that use
functional performance reviews may create
incentives for team member to contribute
more fully to project.

for design project thePercentage complete
matrix(PCM) is more practical.
PCM use information in the WBS and budgetto determine the overall status of the project
PCM -> cost of the respective item + total cost
PCM -> % of the work on the task+ total task

constitute of 25% of the total cost of the
project. If we only complete one-half of the
work, the percent of complete is 12.5% For design project is more concerned with
progress relative to allowed time.
