Bible translators have worked for two decades among the Matigsalug people of the Philippines.

The Matigsalug people live just north of Davao,

which is on the Eastern coast of Mindanao.

The Matigsalug people cook with wood over the open flame.

Sinuda High School teaches Matigsalug students, if their parents have work that enables them to keep their kids in

school.

Today, there are Matigsalug mother-tongue Bible translators helping their own people.

Bible translators use a computer program called Paratext to keep track of the definitions of words and use the words well to convey the meaning of Scripture in the

peoples’ language.

The Matigsalug people have a literacy program-in the Matigsalug language-that is currently on hold while they are seeking funding. Please ask Jesus to provide funding that more of these precious people could learn to read and write their own language.

The Matigsalug people have these values as they work together.

The Matisalug mother-tongue Bible translators record Scripture in their studio.

Even those Matigsalug people who cannot read can listen to Scripture,

sometimes sung, in their language.

Please ask Jesus to protect this Matigsalug mother-tongue Bible translator as he seeks to bless his people through Scripture and literacy.
