RESOLVED, that the Hoboken Board of Education approves the appointment of the School BusinessAdministrator as the Qualified Purchasing Agent for the district according to the rules and regulations ofP.L. 1999 c.440; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to award contracts up to the bidthreshold of $36,000 and establish the quote threshold at $5,400.

Appointment of Custodian of Record:

RESOLVED, that the Hoboken Board of Education approves the appointment of the Board Secretary asCustodian of Records in accordance with N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq. for the 2010-2011 school year; and

Appointment of Public Agency Compliance Officer:

WHEREAS, in accordance with the N.J.A.C., the State of New Jersey division of Contract Complianceand Equal Employment Opportunity requires that each public agency annually designate an officer oremployee to serve as its public agency compliance officer (hereafter P.A.C.O.), and

WHEREAS, the Hoboken Board of Education has determined that the duties of the P.A.C.O. can beeffectively and appropriately performed by the School Business Administrator/Board Secretary; andtherefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Hoboken Board of Education hereby designates the Board Secretary as the PublicAgency Compliance Officer (P.A.C.O.) in accordance with the provisions of N.J.A.C. 17:27-3.2.

SUBJECT: CULINARY ARTS CLASSROOM RENOVATION BID

RESOLVED, that the Hoboken Board of Education accept the recommendation of the districts architectand approve the award of bid for Hoboken High School Culinary Classroom Renovation to SingerEquipment Company Inc. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the lowest responsive bid, for the total alternatebid in the amount of $106,035. A copy of the summary of bid results shall be attached to the minutes.

SUBJECT: ESTABLISHMENT OF EMERGENCY AT BRANDT SCHOOL

RESOLVED, that the Hoboken Board of Education ratifies the declaration of an emergency by theInterim Business Administrator due to structural issues with the facade of the Brandt School effecting thehealth and safety of the Hoboken community, in accordance with the N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-7, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board approves the award of an emergency contract with T&MContracting Company Inc. of Hoboken, New Jersey in an estimated amount of $58,000, to includeemergency installation of the protective sidewalk bridge (erecting, dismantling, lights, rental of materials)and the determination of the extent of the problem in concert with the architect to determine thespecifications for repair (includes the cost of the equipment to complete the site analysis); and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board approves an additional amount not to exceed $5,000 forthe districts architect, Mount Vernon Group of Newark, NJ, for site visits and to provide the district asolution to the problems; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Business Administrator be authorized to submit thedeclaration of emergency to the Executive County Superintendent for approval.
