Planning Condition - Site Noise Limits
Condition 32
Noise emitted from operations on the site shall not result in noise levels greater than those listed below, except when temporary operations are taking place.
Brooms Farm 55dB LAeq, 1Hr (free field)
Pont Road 55dB LAeq, 1Hr (free field)
Douglas Terrace 50dB LAeq, 1Hr (free field)

Noise conditions continued
Condition 33
During periods of temporary operations (soil stripping, the construction and removal of baffle mounds, soil storage mounds and spoil heaps, construction of new permanent landforms and aspects of site road construction and maintenance) the Noise Monitoring Scheme shall provide that the noise emitted from operations on the site shall not result in noise levels greater than 70dB LAeq, 1Hr (freefield) as measured at Brooms Farm, Pont Road and Douglas Terrace. The duration of such activities shall not exceed 8 weeks in relation to each of the respective noise monitoring properties in any 12 month period.
11
Site noise complies with planning condition noise limits for short term and normal noise limits at the Bradley site

This is the total ambient sound level at this location. Due to the busy
road with constant road traffic noise it is not possible to code out a
separate figure for site noise. The PC 3000 lifting subsoil in Area A and
D9 Dozer pushing up sub soil audible. Noise climate dominated by road
traffic noise on A692. Jet aircraft overflight was audible at 10:13.

PROGRESS OF SITE OPERATIONS• Ecological checks ongoing – all areas checked by qualified ecologist and
signed off prior to any works commencing.
• Soil stripping and construction of storage screening mounds is still ongoing through to the end of September. Work on screening mound has been effected by extremely dry weather. Work has had to cease numerous times to prevent any airborne dust crossing the boundary.
• Coal cleaning and coal extraction from box cut. Fivequarter seam and Main seam.
• Site entrance completed and coal dispatching commenced on the 17th August.
• Development of Plant Workshop and office compound due completion 1st
October.
