Educational Objectives: 1- Understand the rationale behind the development of consensus guidelines for congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH);
2- Gain an appreciation of the process and challenges associated the development of these practice guidelines;
3- Gain an understanding of the tenets of care for CDH infants through the prenatal, in-hospital, and post-discharge
surveillance phases of care.

1- Comprendre les changements physiologiques de la glycémie durant la première semaine de vie; 2- Pouvoir distinguer entre une hypoglycémie néonatale transitoire ou persistante;
3- Déterminer le moment où l’hypoglycémie est résolue afin de donner congé de façon sécuritaire au nourrisson; 4- Comprendre la raison d’être sous-jacente des recommandations de la Société d’Endocrinologie Pédiatrique évaluant les
nourrissons à haut risque, avant leur congé de la pouponnière.
Educational Objectives:
1- To understand normal changes in plasma glucose concentrations in the first week of life;
2- To be able to distinguish between transient and persistent neonatal hypoglycemia;
3- To determine when transient hypoglycemia has resolved and it is safe to discharge an infant to home;
4- To understand the rationale underlying the Pediatric Endocrine Society recommendations for evaluating high risk
infants before discharge from the nursery.
