Brier Elementary School Kindergarten Supply List 2017-2018

Items for Classroom use – do not label these items with your child’s name

When brand names are listed, please buy that brand. These are the ones that work best for our class.

4 oz. containers new “ELMERS GLUE-ALL” brand only. 1 Package of Glue Sticks 1 pair Fiskars brand scissors, small pointed tip 1 Pack Big Erasers 1 Watercolor Paint 1 Pack of Crayola Markers-broad tip or fine tip 1 Package colored sidewalk chalk. 1 large box of Kleenex (unscented, white only)

1 Package of Wet Wipes

*PERSONAL ITEMS MUST BE LABELED WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME*

1 ADULT-SIZED backpack 1 lunch box with ice pack to keep things cold 1 plastic folder with pockets at bottom

1 reusable, safe plastic water bottle – at least 16 oz (i.e. Cambelback, Rubbermaid)

Important things to note: No pencil boxes, please. They will be returned. Consider the soft lunch packs instead of plastic lunch boxes that come with a thermos.

Please do not send a thermos – they leak! Soft packs often come with an ice pack that will keep a small plastic bottle filled with your child ’s favorite

drink cool throughout the day. Please do not send pouch Capri-Sun type drinks unless your child can open them without help. Trying to help a

classroom full of kindergarten students stick the straw into that little hole is, to say the least, amusing! Two separate checks – these are deposited into two separate funds:

$8.00 check payable to Brier PTA for the Art in Action program in room 15 (art program kids do once a month)

$10.00 check payable to Edmonds School District for the Classroom Fund. Please send this after Septem-ber 15th in an envelope labeled with your child’s name, room number and “Classroom Fund”. (These funds are used for our parties and to purchase art project supplies throughout the year.) If this pos-es a financial hardship in any way, please let your classroom teacher know.
