The European Government has announced a new legislation: EC Nr. 443/2009

This legislation limits the CO2 emission of passenger cars to 120 gr/km

Linked to this legislation is a penalty system that will come in place. Car manufacturers will be fined when exceeding the CO2 limit.

We can play an active role in ensuring that come 2015, passenger cars do not exceed the 120 gr/kg CO2 limit set down by the EU

We are already well advanced in providing solutions for CO2 emission reduction in cars, e.g.:

Airbags: we realized a weight reduction from 3.2 kg to 1.2 kg

Anti Vibration components: by replacing metal we reduced the weight with 80%

Stanyl Diablo is proven to provide superior performance in applications like vibration-welded air ducts and charged air cooler

But the journey continues…

We continue exploring to new ways of reducing emissions

For example, lowering friction is another excellent way of lowering CO2 emissions
