This workshop is for Good News Club®
teachers and leaders, Sunday school teachers, children’s ministry workers, parents, grandparents, and any others interested in children’s ministry. Topics: Teaching Bible lessons, verses, songs, Gospel presentations, the “Wordless Book” - Counseling a child for salvation and spiritual growth.
Our Methods of Training We use Christ’s methods: He told them. He showed them. He had them practice. He evaluated with them how they did. He sent them out to teach and serve.
Two Tracks of Training for the day for you to choose
• Track One: We will tell you and show
you. This is for those who are new to our training or for those who need a refresher and review.
• Track Two: We will let you practice
together in small groups. This is for those who have already had our basic training. This track will help you become more effective in your teaching and ministry to the children.
Lunch will involve table discussions and questions/answers about children’s ministry issues, concerns, and needs. Our teacher training staff has 200 plus years of teaching and teacher-training experience. They will be guiding and leading these table groups during lunch.

We are pioneering new clubs to reach more children with the Gospel to build Christ’s Church for His honor. Here is how we do it:
• Pray for individual believers and groups of believers and churches who will focus on praying for the children in their communities.
• Pray for workers and finances to start clubs. • Pray for opportunities to reach children in schools,
child care centers, and neighborhoods. • Provide access into these schools and childcare centers. • Train the workers. • Provide the curriculum and program. • Equip churches and groups of believers to follow up
the children and their families. • Provide ongoing training, counseling and consulting to
churches and workers. Please pray for us as we start clubs in Anadarko, Bartlesville, Cromwell, Crutcho, Guthrie, Hinton, LaVerne, Oklahoma City, Seminole and Tulsa.

God is saving children - A 7 year old girl at a Good News Club® in Bessie, Oklahoma asked her teacher, “Can we say the prayer to believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior again, just in case someone in the club hasn’t done that?” The leader asked if she had believed in Jesus. The girl responded, “No, but I want to believe in Him.” She trusted Jesus as her Savior then. Another girl raised her hand at the close of the Bible lesson, expressing her interest in learning how she could believe in Christ as her Savior. She returned from her time with the club leader who explained the Gospel to her and how she could trust Christ. She had a big smile on her face and was so happy about believing in Christ for her salvation.
Fairview Baptist Church in Edmond sponsors the Good News Club where the little girl from the above paragraph attends.
God is giving vision for church-partnership leaders to expand their ministry to reach more community children. When asked what they like about a Good News Club®, a boy said, “Everything!” A girl said, “If it wasn’t for Good News Club, I would never have heard the name Jesus and accepted Him as my Savior.” Her younger brother also attended and became a Christian. Last year their younger sister prayed the Salvation Prayer. It’s so exciting to see the lives of these children and families affected for ETERNITY. When they advanced to middle school, some teens wanted to continue to be involved. One said, “Good News Club is my favorite after-school activity.” Our hearts are overwhelmed when we observe the Christian growth of those children who have been attending for several years. Last year they wanted to learn how to pray, so we did a unit on prayer. We are so thankful for those of you who pray for us. “Pray-ers” are in the Prayer Room praying for us during Club. We are amazed at how attentive the children are during the lesson and how much they learn. Thank you for your prayers.
In Oklahoma there are 911 elementary schools. A 911 emergency call! CEF wants to take the Gospel to all those schools through Good News Clubs. Our church has children attending children elementary schools at • Chisholm Elementary, Washington Irving
Elementary, Clegern Elementary, Angie Debo Elementary, Spring Creek Elementary, Westfield Elementary, home-schooled, Yukon, Deer Creek and Piedmont Public Schools.
Wouldn’t it be awesome if we could start a Good News Club in those schools for that one little girl or boy who needs Jesus. Good News Club has blessings waiting for you.
