NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY 2015 INTRODUCTION: In recent times, revolution in biology has occurred due to the potentials of biotechnological innovation. Modern techniques are developed to produce rare and medicinally valuable molecules, to change hereditary traits of plants and animals, to diagnose diseases and cure them either through biotechnologically derived proteins and polypeptides forming a new class of potential drugs, or through immunodiagnostic ally designed vaccines and also to clean up the environment. In this way, biotechnology has great impacts in the fields of Pharmaceutical science, health care, food/agriculture and environmental protection. Due to rapid developments, there seems to be no basic difference between the pharmaceutical industry and the biotechnological industry now a day. GURUNANAK INSTITUTE OF PHARMACEAUTICAL SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY MISSION: To provide excellent educationa l infrastructure and academic ambience conducive to higher learning by setting up centres of excellence and installing a sense of ethics and value-system among the students. To impart high quality pharmaceut ica l science, technology and management education to the budding professiona ls and provide the ambience needed for developing requisite skills to make a mark of excellence in Education, Research, Business, Industry and achieve highest personal standards. We are committed to provide opportunities to the students to develop their full potential and professional growth and spread the light of higher education. We have immense pleasure to invite you to the National Seminar on the “Current Innovation in Biotechnology for Human Welfare” Organized by GNIPST in collaboration with Department of Science & Technology. Govt. W.B. In the focal theme of the Seminar are invited to present papers in this seminar. Authors are requested to submit One page Abstract. Word limit is 250 words. Font: Times New Roman. Font size: 11. Title of the Abstract: Times New Roman, Bold, 12.Name of Author: Email.id the abstract must be original unpublished work. The Poster should be 3ft × 4ft (Height × Length). There will be a best poster award at the end of the seminar. The soft copy of abstract must reach the Convener latest by October 28th, 2015 through the following
