1.1. CLIMA-FLEX UNITS ADVANTAGES

Clima-Flex CLIC units leave the factory as a kit ready to be installed outdoors at both the floor or ceiling level. The use of air-cooled condensers eliminates the cost and the need to install and maintain a cooling tower.

The CLIC family has a smaller footprint and lower weight than the competition. Installation of the cold water pipes is also easier. All CLIC units leave the factory with the water quick connect connections installed and ready to be used. Grooved or threaded water connections are also available for easy installation. Optionally the units may require a pumping module; this module reduces installation time and space dedicated to a pump room.

All Clima-Flex CLIC units have been tested on the factory to ensure proper operation.

Clima-Flex CLIC units are designed to require less service calls. The scroll compressors can last hundreds of thousands of hours of continuous operation in different applications and conditions. The Adsil special anticorrosive coating ensures longer life and better performance.

The components and control sequences used in our units are designed to keep CLIC Clima-Flex units always running, safety and health monitoring systems optimize performance on the go.

The units are designed to meet the AHRI Standard 55/590 and the UL-1995 standard security.

5. INSTALLATION AND UNIT STARTUP

/!\ WARNING /!\ LOCATION

To keep warranty this unit must be

installed by trained personnel with

expertise on water chillers installation.

Some of the voltages on the unit may

be dangerous, before servicing it is

recommended to totally de-energize

the unit.

CLIC Units are designed to be installed outdoors.

It is necessary that the unit has air venting, and a

free air intake (see Fig 1) to allow for good air

circulation and allow access for maintenance.

For fully functioning, CLIC units only require the

connection with the hydraulic local net and power

supply connection in accordance with technical

data sheet.

Note: For optimal operation if the CLIC unit is

installed in a machinery room, it should be at a

maximum temperature of 95 °F (35 °C)
