In the state of Texas it takes 1000 hours of

education to earn a cosmetology license.

Many people have the opportunity to come out of

high school with it and ready to work.

If taken in college it takes students two to three

semesters to earn their license.

SALARY

Starting cosmetologist usually earn about

$10.50 -$12.75 an hour

The Bureau of Labor Statistics averages

cosmetologists yearly salary to be about

$40,780.
