Preparing for Next Sunday Fifth Sunday of Lent

In today’s first reading, God promises a new covenant in which he will forgive humankind’s sins. The passage from Hebrews reminds us that Jesus was obedient to his Father in order to save us. In the Gospel, Jesus makes it clear that he was sent by the Father to die for our sins. A voice from heaven confirms this.

Carmel 5K Run sponsored by the Archdiocese. This event was attended by both parents and parishioners of the community along with students and friends, who participated in volunteering for booth and racing duties: serving food, setting up the Catholic School Village, serving water to the runners/walkers, e t c . The parish community is invited to join the Confirmation II parents on Saturday, March 21 from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM at the St. Vincent de Paul Society Thrift Store, 6654 Gulf Freeway (near Home Depot). This is a good opportunity to practice almsgiving during Lent. Special Parents Meeting Reminder that Confirmation II parents will meet on Sunday, March 22 at 10:30 AM or 1:30 PM in the Parish Center. If the parents are not able to attend, the sponsor may substitute in their absence. Please do not bring small children. Community Rosary Parishioners are invited to join the Confirmation II candidates to say the rosary on Sunday, March 22 at 11:30 AM in the Church.
