SupervisionParents or guardians of minors are responsiblefor dropping off and picking up their childrenpromptly at the facility.EligibilityAll township residents are eligibile to participatein all programs, assuming the participant meetsthe age or grade criteria outlined. Whereavailable, non-residents may participate incertain programs for an additional fee.Financial AssistanceThe Department of Parks and Recreation offersreduced fee registration for children who areeligible under the guidelines of the FederalSubsidized Lunch Program. Please call ouroffice for information prior to registration.CommunicationClosing notifications and cancellations due toinclement weather will be posted on our website,Facebook, and Twitter pages.

The Department of Parks and Recreationreserves the right to cancel, alter, supplement,limit registration or change any dates, times,locations, ages, fees or any other informationlisted. There will be NO REFUNDS of anyregistration fees unless the program is canceledby the department.
therapuetic recreation partnership
We have a cooperative agreement with the SomersetCounty Park Commission's Therapeutic RecreationDepartment (TR) to provide lesiure and recreationopportunities for children and adults who have adevelopmental disability. We and TR recognizes theneed for all individuals to participate actively inrecreational and lesiure activities to promote health,fitness, and well-being. More information onTheraputic Recreation is available by calling the TRDepartment of SCPC at (908) 526-5650.

November - MarchThe Hillsborough Youth Wrestling Program is open toHillsborough children in Kindergarten through sixthgrade. Through practices and competition againstteams from neighboring communities, wrestlers willlearn the fundamentals of the world's oldest sport,improve their cardiorespiratory endurance andstrength conditioning, and build self-confidence.Many of Hillsborough's most successful wrestlers,both on and off the court, began in this program.

Our swim lessons are an excellent way to get your child acquainted with the water. Qualifed andenthusiastic instructors from the Hillsborough YMCA teach your child the skills needed to be a successfulswimmer. With a small instructor to student ratio and different levels of classes, each child will learn new
skills quickly.
parent / childAge: 6 months to 36 monthsFor the little fish in your life. Basic skills are taught tochildren to help them adjust to the aquaticenvironment so they become comfortable in thewater.
