Praise be to God,
Who rescues us from the power of darkness; who redeems us,
and sets us free!
Praise be to Jesus Christ, the first born of all creation,
through whom all things were made, in heaven and on the earth.
Praise be to the Spirit of God,
whose presence sustains us, and whose breath renews all creation.
Behold! I am making all things new!
Come, O God, and make your home among us.
Pour out your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth.

J.C. Key, 1st
Marie Key, 5th
Sunday Morning Prayer Every second and fourth Sunday, please join us at 9:30am in the Sanctuary. We will petition God in the Name of Jesus, praying in the Spirit as a group – for our church, its minister, its members, our friends, our government and anything else our group is led to bring before the Lord. A short Bible verse or meditative thought will begin each meeting. We are looking forward to this time of intercessory prayer together.
Mission Corner…
Thank you for making a "Joyful Noise unto the Lord." Our children collected an additional $57.34 and we had a generous donation in memory of Stuart Good. Our total collections for the Moravian Secondary School Lunch Program are $416.07. With these coins, we "Serve the Lord with gladness" and "come before his presence with singing."
Our next Second Sunday Staple Stampede is May 8th on Mothers' Day when we will be collecting jars of peanut butter and jelly for Pathways. Imagine the joy of those mothers as their little ones enjoy this tasty, nutritious treat.
Many thanks,
Your Mission Committee
Church Information
SS Music Time We have been enjoying the new Sunday School format for a few weeks now and have started learning some traditional Moravian hymns. We hope to be able to sing those in church soon. We’re also going to keep working on our music reading skills with a chime piece which will teach half notes. The children seem to be enjoying their music time. They are super smart and pick things up SO quickly!! If you have musical gifts you’d like to share with our children, please contact Chip Cook (Christian Education Chair), Teresa Walker or Laura Hayworth. We’d love to hear your ideas!
RCC UPDATE – STOP HUNGER NOW! More than 70 persons gathered at Moravia Moravian this past Sunday to share with other RCC churches in tasty food, delightful fellowship, superb music, and lively games to support the joint Mission effort of STOP HUNGER NOW. Together we raised $2,241 toward our goal of $2,900 to prepare 10,000 meals. It's not too late to contribute. We only need $659 in order to help feed the one in every nine people on our planet who go to bed hungry each night. Contact Carey Pahel or Marian Carter to make a contribution to change lives!
CHICKEN PIE REMINDER The Men's Fellowship and Women's Fellowship will be making Moravian chicken pies the first and third week of May.
May 1st & May 15th, we will cook, pick and chop the chicken.
May 2nd & May 16th, we will assemble, package and freeze the pies.
All men and women of the church are asked to please place these dates on your calendar and come join in making this project a success. Thanks, Russ Walker
Candle Tea Crafts We will continue to meet at 6:30 pm each Wednesday to work on crafts for the Candle Tea store. Please join us as often as you can. We will have tasks you can complete, or you may bring you own projects. All skill levels welcome! For information, please call Penny Wofford at 336-312-7500 or Joann Davis at 336-292-9517.
