Ask your child what they think the book might be about? Why? Encourage answers that mean your child has used what they can see in the picture to guide their answer. Please read the power-point version of The Gingerbread Man. If this is difficult for any reason please talk about the pictures of the story. Key vocab to focus on: Gingerbread – a type of biscuit that is made with a spice called ginger. It has a warm taste.Yelling- shouting loudly, sometimes a little bit cross.Catch- grab hold of.LiteracyThe gingerbread man was avery fast runner. I cnt believe all of his decorations managed to stay on!! Today we are going to make our very owbn gingerbread man puppet!You could get your grown up to draw a gingerbread man on a piece of paper or cut out a ginger bread man shape. Then you could use anything you have in your house to decorate your gingerbread man. Take a look at the phtotos to help you.
