What does this information about genre tell us?

This information about genre tells us that film productions do not always gain more audience popularity in releasing more films. For instant comedy films were not the most popular film selection but had the most releases. Another example, could be animation films had only 4.7% of all releases but was the most successful and popular. This shows that the film audiences are not much interested in the number of films of a genre but they either follow their own interests or look at the quality of the films as an individual.
