Goodman and co to launch a stock exchange for thoroughbreds

FORMER trainer James Goodman heads up the South African division of Equine Hub (wwwequinehubcom) ndash in short a revolutionary new stock exchange for thoroughbreds developed in Singapore and due for launch in South Africa in October

EquineHub is the worldrsquos first equine platform that leverages on blockchain to make immediate fractional racehorse ownership possible for online traders in a marketplace where members of the equine community can share their expertise and services validated by a social proofing system and administered by the community The easiest way to explain Equine Hub is to think of a normal stock exchange where shares are electronically traded ldquoIt works exactly like a stock exchange following supply and demand in a commodity which in this case happens to be a racehorserdquo said Goodman ldquoTraders will be able to register on equine hub explore the horses on offer and the shares available in such horses and then make an offer to buy Wily traders will be able to buy and sell quick even on the same day if they so desire The technology is set to transform the equine world making it more efficient transparent secure and inclusive The software was developed in Singapore over years of trial and error and Goodman said ldquoThe secure blockchain technology basically allows for buying and selling of shares in blocks we envisage these blocks to be R1000 per share in South Africa
