Last Tuesday, we formally inducted Lilly and Harry into their roles of Vice Captain and School Captain. It was lovely to have family members able to attend this special occasion and witness our 2021 leaders take their pledge in front of their peers and teachers. The Small Schools swimming carnival held on Friday 19 th February was wonderful. I was so impressed with the representation of our students and parents. It was nice to witness the determination, support and sportsmanship each of our students displayed, whether they were competitive or non-competitive. Last Friday the District Swimming carnival was held and our students did their very best. We have 3 students plus our relay team travelling to Dubbo on Friday 12 th March. Good luck to Harry, Grace, Jack and Freya! Tomorrow, we have our P&C meeting at 3:10pm in the school hall. Can I please encourage as many of you as possible to attend. Our staff will be saying a little bit about themselves, explaining the teaching programs they are using in the classroom as well as providing some handy hints on how to read effectively at home with your children. Accompanying this newsletter is a parent/teacher conference note. It would be wonderful to have 100% attendance at these meetings. Please call the school if you have any questions. We have three sporting gala days coming up on the 22 nd , 23 rd and 24 th March; applicable to Years 3-6 only. Notes will go home about these days very soon. It’s nice to be able to provide sporting opportunities for our students once again! Finally, to finish off the term, I have invited the Preschool to participate in an Easter Hat Parade at GPS on Thursday 1 st April. A note will go out soon about this activity and how it will be managed in a COVID-safe way. Enjoy the rest of your week. Last Tuesday, we formally inducted Lilly and Harry into their roles of Vice Captain and School Captain. It

was lovely to have family members able to attend this special occasion and witness our 2021 leaders take

their pledge in front of their peers and teachers.

The Small Schools swimming carnival held on Friday 19th February was wonderful. I was so impressed with

the representation of our students and parents. It was nice to witness the determination, support and

sportsmanship each of our students displayed, whether they were competitive or non-competitive.

Last Friday the District Swimming carnival was held and our students did their very best. We have 3

students plus our relay team travelling to Dubbo on Friday 12th March. Good luck to Harry, Grace, Jack and

Freya!

Tomorrow, we have our P&C meeting at 3:10pm in the school hall. Can I please encourage as many of you

as possible to attend. Our staff will be saying a little bit about themselves, explaining the teaching

programs they are using in the classroom as well as providing some handy hints on how to read effectively

at home with your children.

Accompanying this newsletter is a parent/teacher conference note. It would be wonderful to have 100%

attendance at these meetings. Please call the school if you have any questions.

We have three sporting gala days coming up on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th March; applicable to Years 3-6 only.

Notes will go home about these days very soon. It’s nice to be able to provide sporting opportunities for

our students once again!

Finally, to finish off the term, I have invited the Preschool to participate in an Easter Hat Parade at GPS on

Thursday 1st April. A note will go out soon about this activity and how it will be managed in a COVID-safe

way.

Enjoy the rest of your week.
