FROM THE PASTOR’S DESKDear Parishioners,

In a previous bulletin, I thanked the individuals and families that contributed to our 2015 Project Advance Campaign.

Below is the letter of gratitude we received from Archbishop J. Michael Miller as well as a look

ahead to this year’s campaign. Your continuous generosity and support are evident in the pride you take in looking after not only the needs of your own parish, but extending it to the outside community as well. I look forward to our renewed efforts in this year’s Project Advance!

God Bless,

Fr. Maciej Wos, SDSPastor

FROM THE ARCHBISHOP OF VANCOUVERDear Father Maciej:

I would like to express my gratitude to you and your parishioners for a successful Project Advance 2015 appeal. It is evident that you and your parish leadership team worked diligently to encourage your parishioners to “Live gratefully, give generously.” Your parish met its share of the Archdiocesan goal of $3,000,000 which helps to meet the capital needs and the charitable works of our Archdiocese. As well, over $3.7 million was returned to parishes. Your parish received a total of $36,507.64, which I hope helped address some of your specific needs.

As we begin preparations for Project Advance 2016, the Archdiocesan goal remains $3,000,000. Parish goals have been reviewed, as they are annually, and given the seismic challenges we face, we have decided once again that for 2016, parish goals will remain the same as they were in 2015. Therefore, the goal for Holy Cross Parish for 2016 remains $55,000.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and your leadership in making our annual Project Advance Appeal a fruitful endeavour, which furthers the evangelizing mission of the Church.

With my prayers during the Jubilee of Mercy for continued success in fostering a parish community dedicated to stewardship, I remain

Fraternally yours in Christ,

J. Michael Miller, CSBArchbishop of Vancouver
