From the Pastor’s Desk

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Trinity. The three persons of the Trinity – the Father, the Son and the Spirit – are in-dividual persons but united in one God-head. Hence, unity and harmony are the key words in understanding the Trinity. It is possible to achieve perfect harmony in a musical concert where different voices and instruments blend into a harmonious one. It is possible to achieve harmony in marriage when God makes of the two spouses into one. Pope Francis says that the experience of the mutual love between the spouses is a help in understanding the life of the Trinity as love. Through a love relationship lived in the family, children can get a glimpse of image of the Trinity. As we celebrate the Trinity Sunday, let us ask the Lord Jesus to help each one of us to be a messengers of unity and love in our family and in our parish community.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas:

Hoy celebramos la fiesta de la Santísima Tri-nidad. Las tres personas de la Trinidad—el Padre, el Hijo y el Espíritu –tres personas dis-tintas, aunque son un solo Dios verdadero y divino. Por lo tanto, la unidad y la armonía son las palabras clave en la comprensión de la Trinidad. Es posible lograr una armonía perfecta en un concierto musical cuando dife-rentes voces e instrumentos se funden en un conjunto armonioso. Es posible lograr la ar-monía en el matrimonio cuando Dios hace de los dos cónyuges uno solo. El Papa Francisco dice que la experiencia del amor mutuo entre los esposos es una ayuda en la comprensión de la vida de la Trinidad como amor. A tra-vés de una relación de amor vivido en la fa-milia, los niños pueden ver la imagen de la Trinidad. Mientras celebramos el domingo de la Santísima Trinidad, pidamos al Señor Jesús ayude a cada uno de nosotros a ser mensaje-ros de la unidad y del amor en nuestra fami-lia y en nuestra comunidad parroquial.

Y también por amor vuestro procuraré salvar las almas de mis próji-mos. Para salvar mi alma y daros gloria y alabanza, sé que he de guardar la divina ley. Os doy palabra de guardarla como la niña de mis ojos, y también procuraré que los de-más la guarden.
