Why is Hope for Kidz Adding a New Monthly Payment Plan ?

• Current sponsors have requested the change• To simplify sponsorship for current donors• To enable those who cannot afford a one-time

sponsorship fee to be involved by being able to sponsor on a monthly basis

• To provide a more consistent cash flow for sponsored children

What will the new monthly and annual rates be?

• $28 per month• $336 per year

Why is the price increasing?

• The basic HFK sponsorship ($200) has remained at the same cost for approximately 7 years (not including the $50 increase for the hot lunch program).

• Haiti has been impacted by global inflation even more so than the US.

• RMI is no longer able to meet the needs of the children at this price due to inflation and rising costs in Haiti.

• These trends demand that we raise our prices in order to maintain our current level of benefits for the children.

What additional benefits will the sponsored child receive?

• Continued provision of a quality Christian education

• Community health training starting with an Annual De-Worming Program

• Establishment of an emergency major medical needs fund

What additional benefits will the school receive?

• Most schools have raised and are continuing to raise tuition rates. RMI will be able to help cover these rising costs

• Continued school oversight to ensure student progress

What additional benefits will the sponsor receive?

• The ability to spread sponsorship payment out over the year.

• The opportunity to write their child 1-2 times per year.

• Additional benefits are being considered.

Why do current sponsors need to start paying immediately for the

2012-1013 School Year

• RMI needs to have the funds available to provide for up front expenses such as uniform, books, shoes, initial tuition payment, etc.

• By launching in February, RMI will have these funds available by the time the children start school.

Monthly Payment Option for Current Sponsors

1. Current sponsors will need to have their first payment of $28 in by March 31, 2012.

2. If a current sponsor cannot begin payment in March, RMI will work with it. However, it is to the benefit of the child for the sponsor to begin payment as soon as possible.

Monthly Payment Option for New Sponsors

• New sponsors can begin payment at any time. • As soon as payment is received, RMI will work

with the school and child ensuring them of their education.

• All sponsors are assumed, unless otherwise stated, to be committed to a minimum of one year commitment whether a monthly or one-time payment is made.

One-time Payment Option for Current and New Sponsors

• Sponsors are always welcome to pay in full for the year rather than paying on a monthly basis.

• RMI is offering a special for only the 2012-2013 school year of $300 if payment is received by June 30, 2012.

• After June 30, the one-time payment amount will be $336.

What will RMI provide you to help communicate this shift to current sponsors?

• Brochures explaining the new transition• Letter available on RMI letterhead that you can

distribute to sponsors • Sponsors are more than welcome to call us if

they have additional questions that you cannot answer. We will be more than happy to talk to them.

What does all this change mean for you, the coordinator?

• This will take a huge burden off you in handling the finances for most of the sponsors

• You will now be able to focus on the promotion of the program and raising up new sponsors

• You will have RMI as essentially a personal assistant in your endeavors

What is the coordinator role in 2012?

• Communicate this change to all current sponsors

• Collect current sponsors payment information and send to RMI by March 30, 2012 (if at all possible)

• Make sure that each payment information form is properly filled out

• Provide information on how a sponsor can pay directly to RMI.

Coordinator Benefit for 2012!

• 100% current sponsors renewed by end of April – Free MED and in-country costs in Haiti – currently worth $825. This trip voucher is good through end of 2014. If your church does not have a trip planned in this time, we will work with you.

• 75% by end of April - $400 voucher• $50% by end of April - $200 voucher

The Coordinator Role in 2013 and Beyond!

• Advocate for RMI at your church and with current sponsors.

• Help facilitate periodic communication. • Find new sponsors for additional children. • Promote the Hope for Kidz Program

throughout your church and community.

Coordinator Benefit for 2012 and Beyond!

• 30 new sponsors over and above the amount sponsored the previous year at any time in 2013, you win a free trip to Haiti in 2014(RMI will cover all in-country costs, you are still responsible for your plane ticket to Haiti).

• 20 new sponsors - $400 voucher• 10 new sponsors - $100 voucher• If you are unable to use this, this is

transferable to someone who is able to use it.
