DIST. SUPERINTENDENT

It brings honor to God. I believe strongly that if a church will be faithful to

pay the United Stewardship Fund, God will honor them. The analogy is ap-

propriate that says since we expect our local church members to give tithe and

offerings, likewise it is good for the local church to set the example by giving

tithe and offerings to the district and general church.

The Discipline says a church is to pay the 11½% set by the district conference.

On page 219 it says, “The pastor and the local board of administration shall be

responsible for the faithful collection of the amount assigned by the district to

their church, and shall raise it on the undivided plan.”

By sending in the U.S.F. you help in keeping a Wesleyan ministry presence

throughout North America that empowers our international ministry around

the world. This global impact would not be possible without the U.S.F.

The U.S.F. is used in part to provide Kids, Teens, and Family camp at Or-

leans. People’s lives are changed spiritually in a positive way each year at our

camps.

By paying the U.S.F. you help the district office to work in providing resources

for the pastors and helping churches find pastors when there is a vacancy.

When a church pays their obligation, it shows evidence of a “Team Spirit.”

We are all in this together and we need each other to succeed for God’s glory.

For example, the General church is able to produce good “holiness” literature

that is used around the world because you pay U.S.F.

The General church and the district work hard to save you money. Just about

5 years ago, U.S.F. was decreased by a percentage point to keep more money

in the local church. It decreased to 11½%. The idea though was for every

church to pay 100% for this to work.

You are helping the district be able to train ministers that God is calling today

to work in HIS harvest field. By you sending U.S.F., we are able to offer

classes that assist students in getting licensed and/or ordained.

By paying U.S.F. you are helping places like World Hope reach out to the

world by doing the great commission.

You are helping us plant new churches like “Faith Pointe Wesleyan Church”

we started this Easter in Dale, IN.

Congratulations to the Churches that Paid 100% U.S.F.Listed below are all the churches and the amount of U.S.F. that they paid last fiscal year. Congratulations to the 63

churches that paid 100% U.S.F. This was an increase over last year. I recently saw some records that showed a few years

ago there were only 45 churches on our district that paid full budget. So, we have came a long ways, but my prayer is that

next year we will have several more paying 100% as well so we can stay current with our obligations.
