Coming from Vietnam where everything and everyone is different from the UK, it was initially quite daunting to adapt to a new place. However, I soon learnt that I didn’t need to worry as the support I received from the International Academy allowed me to settle in with ease.

I had a wonderful year studying the International Diploma in Business – the quality of teaching from experienced and enthusiastic lecturers provided a solid foundation for my current studies.

The University of Essex is just 50 minutes away from London by train, it is located in a very nice park and the town Colchester is very student-friendly. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The strength of EELP is that teachers identify what you need to learn and what your weaknesses are in order to work on them specifically. Also, they use various and interesting methods for teaching. The programme helped me in many ways as it improved my vocabulary and my academic writing. I would advise students who want to apply to Essex to do it without any hesitation because it is a great place for learning and enjoying your life at the same time.
