In Your Own Words
Fugue is a poem which define in different ways one and the same word that is the theme and is used many times.
Example: White is a soft breeze or a snowflake on my nose. White is a wedding a shower of love. White is soft, not too rough White is a beautiful colour. Create a small poem defining a computer.

How it Began The first computers were
very big and slow. In 1943, Britain had a computer called “Colossus”. It worked with electronic tubes – like light bulbs. The first American computer in 1946, “Eniac”, had 18,000 tubes. It weighted 30 tons, and it filled a room of 160 sq. m.
The Eniac computer could do 5000 operations per second.
Think of further development of a computer? What should be the items to change?

How It Works
1- mouse 4 – warranty 7 - hard disk2- system block 5 – floppy disc 8 - display 3- mouse mat 6 – modem 9 - keyboard
A - a special small mat for a mouse;B - a group of devices forming a network; a special box to keep computer devices;C - guarantee;D - a small flat circular object on which large amounts of information can be stored
to be used by a computer;E - a small flat thing that you can store information from a computer on, that you
can remove and use in other computers;F - an electronic device that temporary presents information in visual forms;G - an assemblage of systematically arranged keys by which a device (computer) is
operated;H - a piece of electronic equipment that allows information to be sent from one
computer to another;I - a small piece of computer equipment which is connected to the computer by a
wire. It is used to control the cursor. You can move the cursor around the screen with it and then use one of the buttons on it to click on icons on the screen. When you click on an icon you instruct the computer to do something.

For Fun
An anagram is a rearrangement of the letters of one word or phrase to form another word or phrase.
A very simple example is rearranging the letters of “Evil” to get “Vile”.
More advanced examples include rearranging “Clint Eastwood” as “Old West action”.
Try to create as many new words as possible (10 minutes):

For Fun
Create a poster to illustrate one of the proverbs:
You can’t teach a new mouse old tricks. Too many clicks spoil the browser. A user and his leisure time are soon parted. There is no place like http://www.home.com Give a man a fish and you feed him a day;
teach him to use the Net and he won’t use you for weeks.

Discussion Some people think that schools should spend money on
developing computer technology. Some – this money should be spent on more basic needs. Think of the reasons (fill in the table); find a partner who
shares you opinion; make up a group; create the idea and make the conclusion.
Meet your opponents. Discuss your points of view. Create a common resolution.
Reasons for developing computer technology.
Reasons for spending money on basic needs.

Role Play
Imagine that you are starting School of Internet Surviving.
What questions, problems or skills would you include in the plan?
What professionals would you invite? How can you advertise it? Prepare a presentation of your school, it
could be any kind of show but interesting enough to make people want to begin their study at once.
