ABSTRACT

This project is developed by considering reference websites like naukri, indianmonester’s jobs…etc

with most of the features included in it. This project we help students to understand basic concepts on how

to implement a job portal and different modules that are implemented to develop this application.

Online job portal java project is developed with basic operations like employee registration, updating

and deleting job applications, subscription on new job alerts, job searching option, changing and deleting

profiles and passwords and sending mail on job alerts.

The Purpose of application is to provide jobs portals for job seekers to summit their CV and apply

for job posting and Employer can select best employees from available CV base on their payment option

selection. This is basically a job portal where job seeker applies for job and employer post jobs and select

prospective applicant.

CONCLUSION

In Project “Online Job Portal” we can provide job through this site and companies provide

vacancies on it. User registers us to take the advantage of this Job Portal Web site. If user registers at one

time they can access useful information form website. Companies also find suitable Person for own

Company.

INTRODUTION

Online Job Portal System is a java based application which runs on server. In this system an

employee can register himself by providing information of him and can be logged on to the system. Viewing

available jobs or applying for the job at the agency is currently done manual ly where in the job

seekers has to go to the agency and check the available jobs at the agency.

Job seekers check the list of jobs available and apply the job if the job is not available

otherwise it is of waste for the job seeker to come to the agency to come to check for the   job i f the job

seeker doesn’ t get the job.  

Its main goal is to remain platform independent and work for everyone and we try following

terminology for this Project:-

J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition): It is a programming platform, belonging to the Java platform,

which is used for developing and running distributed java applications.

Apache Tomcat (or simply Tomcat, formerly also Jakarta Tomcat): is an open source web server

and servlet container developed by the Apache Software Foundation (ASF). Tomcat implements the

Java Servlet and the Java Server Pages (JSP) specifications from Oracle Corporation, and provides a

"pure Java" HTTP web server environment for Java code to run.

MySQL: is the world's most used open source relational database management system (RDBMS)

that runs as a server providing multi-user access to a number of databases. It is named after co-

founder Michael Wideniu’s daughter, MySQL phrase stands for Structured Query Language.
