Building A Brand.Smart BarberPackaging, Design, Branding, Illustration, Campaign

With beard & moustache grooming products experiencing massive growth, the Smart Barber brand was born out of the need for a premium offering in the sector, one that could be sold exclusively through select barbershops. The brand combines edgy and classical elements, with a whimsical yet succinct tone of voice.

Game Packs.Kellogg’sPackaging, Design, Illustration

With Kellogg’s experiencing a sales slump in Spain, I was tasked with creating a series of game packs to encourage collectability, thus increasing sales. The packs were designed to be educational and have repeat play value.

The co branded identity I designed for The new Kerrygold Dubliner/Guinness cheese keeps the integrity of both brands intact whilst communicating a common sense of authenticity.

The new brand extension for Avon Men needed to communicate the outdoors, adventure and nature in a youthful, modern way. The bottles were to stay the same colour as the rest of the range and the ‘Avon MEN’ logo couldn’t be changed.

Christmas Gifting.I Love...Packaging, Design, Branding, Illustration, Campaign

With the 2015 Christmas gifting range largely focusing on cute character cues, in 2016 the brand felt it necessary to adopt a more 'mature' approach. With a bold use of colour and contrasting illustrated elements, the campaign is playful, whilst remaining classy in its approach.

With Don Lear, the ‘Bhaji Man’, wishing to have an on-pack presence, I decided that the best option would be to incorporate an illustration into the logo design. With a bold use of colour and prominent product shots, the new branding was a resounding success.

The biggest growth opportunity that we identified in the lip care sector was fashion-driven. With this in mind, I reinvented the Balmi brand using very on-trend illustration and vibrant colour. The brand has now taken on a new identity, as a must have accessory, and not just a functional product.

Brand Guidelines.The MacallanResearch, Design

The Macallan, makers of the worlds most expensive malt whiskey, approached us to refresh their brand guidelines. In trying to appeal to global micro markets, they’d lost sight of their core identity. I set about learning everything I could about the brand and its history before creating the definitive set of brand guidelines.

I'm currently working on a roll-on styptic pencil brand targeted solely at women. The styptic pencil is a largely ignored product in this country, with relatively few people understanding its use. Nik Stix plans to bring this product to a brand new market in a fresh and exciting way.

Textbook Illustration.Learn To Play LiveIllustration, Design

Producing a range of 14 textbook cover designs for children’s music tuition company ‘Learn to Play Live’ had me reaching for inspiration from very unusual places and thinking truly outside the box. The monochrome, edgy, ‘grunge’ style look of the approved designs are far removed from the early concepts.
