MUSIC AWARENESS PROGRAM (MAP)This program comprises of six six-week lessons tailored for years 3 to 6. The MAP course is tailored to challenge students’ musical aware-ness from composition to perfor-mance. MAP empowers children with creative thinking in listening, basic to advanced composition

BABY LANGUAGE©

JMW presents musical phonics en-abling children to feel a beat value through the use of syllabic refer-ence to a beat. JMW’s first exercis-es to the introduction of rhythmi-cal composition, will have children writing music in confidence pro-ducing their first steps as compos-ers in their own right!

MUSICAL SIGN LANGUAGE©

JMW’s distinctive dialogue of mu-sical sign language will help the student have a greater apprecia-tion for sound and silence and a greater knowledge on how we communicate sound and silence on a page. This is the study of basic rhythmical composition.

STAVE HANDS©

Learning how to read notes on the treble and bass clef could not be more fun thanks to JMWs ‘Stave Hands’. With use of Finger Aerobics Spelling Association (FASA), this course is an extraordinary blend of sight-reading, stave notation and fun!

THE CLAPPINGGAME©

JMW uses the clap as the corridor route to the instrument via rhythm. JMW’s Clapping Games; exercises, composition and performances, il-lustrate that the clap is the closest thing to joining the musical thought, hands and instrument.

SCALESCAPE© Children are taught how to play 5 major scales, by detecting changing shape on the piano. This system not only teaches students how to learn the theory behind a major scale but also to confidently play a major scale without looking.

KUNG FU SOL-FA© JMW fuses traditional music methods and modern-day martial arts actions to create an unstoppable way of learning and demonstrating pitch with devastating impact. This six-week course, accompanied by a 10 episode series 1 Kung Fu Sol-fa © DVD and instructional booklet, will bring out the Kung Fu musical master in your children!
