Sponsorships

Community InvolvementThe Old Home Week (OHW) Committee is looking for businesses, organizations and folks to host events! It is onlywith the assistance of local businesses, organizations and families that the entire week can be filled with activitiesfor our residents and visitors to enjoy. OHW is the perfect vehicle to raise awareness of your organization’s cause and/or fundraise at the same time! Ifyour organization would like to host an event, please let us know. The OHW Committee will advertise and promotethe events as part of the whole OHW package. This will create a greater impact not only for the individualorganization’s event but also for the entire celebration.

Economic ImpactThe many varied events make Orrington the self-proclaimed “Center of the Cultural Universe.” The events haveattracted hundreds to thousands of people to our town, where our retail establishments register a huge uptick inbusiness during Old Home week. And many non-profits benefit from the generosity of our visitors to carry ontheir missions. The Endless Yard Sale map, with over 100 yard sales listed, map was downloaded over 11,000times last year with an additonal 2,000 printed! A casual poll taken during the weekend indicates approximately$100,000 could have changed hands during the Endless Yard Sale!
