Lajovic Tuba d.o.o., established in 1925, is a producer of aluminium and PE packaging

materials. The company has been a member of the IMPACT INTERNATIONAL group, of

Australia since 1994, as its main representative and production plant in Europe.

The company has a long tradition of tube manufacturing - from lead and tin tubes with

bakelite caps in its beginnings, to increasingly developed and modern packaging solu-

tions. Our product portfolio includes aluminium tubes and cans, laminate and plastic

tubes.

We design and develop packaging products and sophisticated packaging systems for

the needs of our customers, the manufacturers of pharmaceutical, cosmetic, tooth-

paste, food and household products.

Throughout the world, Tuba provides its clients innovative solutions and service in the

field of packaging with the quality of its products and services for reliable and long-

term partnerships.

Our product portfolio consists of aluminium tubes and cans, laminate and plastic

tubes, running on ten modern production lines with annual capacity of:

- 150,000,000 pieces of aluminium tubes,

- 12,000,000 pieces of aerosol cans,

- 15,000,000 pieces of laminate tubes,

- 20,000,000 pieces of extruded PE tubes.

All lines are equipped with multi-colour offset printing and separate machines for hot

stamping and screen printing for plastic and laminate tubes.

Since the packaging market requires new models and designs, we have developed

our own graphic design studio for the preparation, modelling and production of plate

printing for tubes, aerosol cans and other products. With this, we can quickly respond

to the customers’ demands.

Company profile

Production

To keep and grow our competitiveness on the market, several projects are running

constantly, all supported with Tuba’s own research group, enabling us to react very

quickly and to offer new ideas to the demanding market. We are very flexible and tech-

nologically innovative, with our own tool production, which is well equipped and can

meet all the needs of our demanding customers and offer innovative services.

We are constantly seeking new solutions by developing new types of products as well

as innovative, environmentally friendly, biodegradable materials, which enable us to

offer to our customers’ proper packaging solutions for their products.

In order to keep pace with market needs and regulations, the company maintains

high standards for the quality of its products. All relevant tests and procedures are

performed by our internal Quality Department. We pay special attention to process

control, so that we can ensure the consistency of our products throughout the produc-

tion process.

Our company is ISO 9001 certified, which gives us approval and confidence to keep

the quality standard on high level.

Tuba believes in environmentally responsible manufacturing. The company recycles

process scrap wherever possible and works with clients in partnership to minimize

packaging waste. Tuba also believes it is important to supply high quality packaging

that does not fail so as to fully protect goods against spoilage and adding to the waste

stream.

The materials that are used in production are easily recyclable in the case of alumin-

ium, and plastic materials are either recyclable or energetically recoverable. In addi-

tion, the thickness of aluminium, plastic and laminate layers is reduced to the abso-

lute minimum needed to maintain indispensible packaging functions.

The implementation of an effective environmental management system has also re-

sulted in our obtaining the ISO 14001 certificate.

Aluminium tubes

Aluminium tubes are produced from aluminium slugs with a cold

extrusion process.

These tubes give a complete barrier to light, gases, moisture,

fats, oils, volatile chemicals and micro-organisms. They are ideal

for products that are sensitive to air and require maximum shelf

life after opening.

Aluminium tubes are mostly used for:

PHARMACEUTICALS (ointments, antiseptic creams, gels)

COSMETICS (hair dye, protection hand creams)

FOOD (food pastes, food spreads)

HOUSEHOLD products (adhesives, solvent cements, art paints)

Plastic tubes

Plastic tubes are produced from PE resin (granulate).

These tubes are typically used for products that are not sensitive

to oxygen, water vapour or UV radiation due to possibility of pro-

ducing multilayer tube body with high resistant barrier (EVOH).

Plastic tubes are mostly used for:

COSMETICS (skin creams, baby creams, personal lubricants, UV

Laminate tubes

Laminate tubes are produced from a multilayer laminate foil, ei-

ther with aluminium or plastic (EVOH) barrier.

ABL (Aluminium Barrier Laminate) or PBL (Plastic Barrier Lami-

nate) tubes are a light, hygienic and safe form of packaging that

prevents leakage, provides UV protection and can also hold more

aggressive products.

Laminate tubes are mostly used for:
