1st Feb 2017: Vasantha Panchami:

The divine presence of Saraswati Mata was felt in the Vidyalaya during

the assembly proceedings when all the students chanted the Sharada Stotram. This rendition on the occasion of Vasantha Panchami, had the students and staff seeking blessings of Mother Goddess to give them knowledge and bring

them out of their ignorance.

3rd Feb 2017: Ratha Saptami:

Ratha Saptami had some of the students of Class VII perform the Surya

Namaskarams during the morning assembly proceedings. The positive effects of doing yoga, and specifically Surya Namaskarams was explained by Chi. Tejaswini of Class IX and Sri. Koti Reddy, our Yoga Sir.

15th Feb 2017: GK Quiz conducted by HINDU.

A few students from our Vidyalaya participated in the Hindu Young World GK Quiz conducted by „The Hindu‟ on the 15th of Feb at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram, Baghlingampally.

The following students of our Vidyalaya participated in this competition.

Senior Category: I) Chi. A. Pranav and Chi. P. AnanyaBharati -Class IX.

Junior Category: II) Chi.A. Sreshtha and Chi. P. AmulyaVijaya – Class V

III) Chi. Gayathri Ganti and Chi. Ayush Mohanty – Class VI.

269 teams from different parts of Telangana participated in this contest.

All the participants were given certificates and two inspiring and motivational books of the Ramakrishna Mission.

Feb 2017: Pre Finals for Classes IX to XII:

Pre Finals I for Class IX and PreFinals II for Class X started on the 16th of Feb. This could see most of the children well prepared, all set for writing their

exams further this month. Prefinal II for Class XII began on the 18th of Feb. Wishing all our students good luck for their exams!

16th -18th Feb 2017: Class Photographs:

Classwise photographs for students were taken right from LKG to Class X. Departmentwise photographs of the teachers were also taken. Precious moments become memories later on in life! What better way to have this than a

class photograph? Class Photos have also been distributed to all the children.

18th – Interhouse football Competition:

Football Competitions amongst the boys of Classes VI, VII and VIII were

held on the 18th of Feb 2017. The finals were between Satya House and Shanti House. Satya House came out victorious. Congratulations to all the participants!! Lets always remember that sportsmanship and fair play are more

important than winning the game.

25th Feb 2017: MahasivaRatri Celebrations:

Lord Shiva, the auspicious, was remembered and prayed to, by all the devotees across the world on 25th Feb 2017, on the occasion of MahasivaRatri. “Dhyana Nilayam” , our temple in the premises of Chinmaya Mission,

Kundanbagh was very beautifully decorated.

“Dhyana Nilayam” adorned on the occasion of MahaSivaRatri day.

Devotees kept pouring into the temple from 5:00 am till 4:00 am the next morning. Rendition of Vedic Hymns continued from early morning till twilight

on the next day.

Vidyalaya staff and students volunteered at all the counters viz, the chappal

counter, the milk counter and the prasadam counter. Volunteering started at 6:00 in the morning and continued till 4:00 the next morning. Primary children of Class III and Class IV also helped us with their bit of seva.

28th Feb 2017: National Science Day:

28th Feb is celebrated as the National Science Day in our country every year to mark the discovery of the “Raman Effect” (related to scattering of light) by the great Indian physicist Dr. C.V.Raman, for which he was later awarded

the Nobel Prize in the year 1930.

In our Vidyalaya, this day was observed and celebrated by welcoming a few

scientists and members from the K.V.Rao Scientific Society who addressed some students of Class IX, X and XI.

from the K.V.Rao Scientific Society commemorated this day in our Vidyalaya by giving a presentation on “Our Elegant Universe” and conducted scientific

experiments. This was held in the morning session of 28th Feb 2017, in the AV room of the Saraswati Nilayam wing of the Vidyalaya

Children learnt some concepts and understood that learning science is fun.

Other Awards and laurels won:

1. Chi. K. Vaishnavi of Class III participated and won awards and a lot of

appreciation in a few competitions organized by the Andhra Balananda Sangham, Narayanaguda, Hyderabad. The competitions comprised of

a) Neeti Padyalu - held on 13th Nov 2016 b) Carnatic Sangeetam – held on 20th Nov 2016 c) Lalita Sangeetam – held on 4th Dec 2016

d) Deshabhakti Geetalu (Patriotic Songs) – held on 22nd January 2017

e) Bhakti Geetalu held on 22nd Jan 2017.

Chi. Vaishnavi won awards in all the above competitions. Hearty

congratulations to her. We hope she receives a lot more laurels ahead in life.

2. Chi. KrishnaShree Vallabh of Class VI received a gold medal in a Karate competition organized by Origen Gouju Ryu Karate Do India (Hyderabad) on the 19th of Feb 2017.

3. Chi. K. Nischala of LKG participated and won an award in the Telugu Rhymes competition organized by the Andhra Balananda Sangham,

Narayanaguda, Hyderabad on the 22nd of Jan 2017. We hope to see her achieving greater heights in the years to come.
