Knowledge Center Social Europe has two main activities

• Informing the federations of the non profit sector and the Flemish regional authorities, among others department of wellfare, public health and family, about European Policy

• Informing and supporting non profit organizations (both public and private) in EU funds and projects

Different types of EU programmes

1. Structural Funds – cohesian policy: decrease socio-economic differences between European regions (ESF, EFRD, Interreg, …) Managed by member states and/or regions

2. European programmes – mixed centralized / decentralized (Erasmus for All, …) Some of the actions are managed by the member states, others by the European Commission

3. Community Programmes – Thematic programmes (EaSI …) managed by the European Commission or by an executive agency of the European Commission
