Our Lives, Our Stories: America’s Greatest GenerationYDL-Whittaker, April 6–May 25YDL is proud to host a national touringexhibit this spring that explores the lifearc of America’s Greatest Generation, toldin their own words. Born in the 1910s and‘20s, this generation was shaped by theirexperiences during the Great Depressionand World War II, creating both the BabyBoom and the postwar economic surge.

This museum-quality display features personal anecdotes, photomural panels,audiovisual displays, vintage householdobjects, toys, and military and homefrontitems from World War II.

All locations, January–February 2014This year’s selection, Between Shades ofGray by Ruta Sepetys, follows a 15-year-old Lithuanian girl and her family throughthe Soviet invasion and the Gulag. Read it in advance of the author’s visit on Tuesday,January 21 at WCC’s Towsley Auditorium.
