The New NurseA New nurse listened whilethe doctor was yelling,"Typhoid! Tetanus! Measles!"

The new nurse asked anothernurse, "Why is he doing that?"

The other nurse replied, "Oh,he just likes to call the shotsaround here."

New SecretaryThe boss was very exasperatedwith his new secretary. Sheignored the telephone when itrang."You must answer the tele-phone," he told her irritable."All right," she replied, "but itseems so silly. Nine times outoften, it's for you!"

Memory Joke

A 90-year-old couple were having problems with their memory,so they decided to go to their doctor to get checked out tomake sure nothing was wrong with them.

They explained to the doctor about the problems they werehaving with their memory. After checking the couple out, thedoctor told them that they were in good health, however, thebest thing to do was to start writing things down and makenotes to help them to remember things.

Later that night while watching television, the man got up fromhis chair and his wife asked, "Where are you going?"He replied, "To the kitchen." She asked, "Wi" you get me abowl of ice cream?" He replied, "Sure honey." She then askedhim, "Don't you think that you should write it down on a note soyou can remember it?" He said, "No, I can remember that."

She then said, "We" I would also like some chocolate syrup ontop. You had better write that down because I know you'll for-get that." He said, "I can remember that, you want a bowl of icecream with chocolate syrup." She replied, "We" I also wouldlike whipped cream on top. I know you wi" forget that so youbetter write it down."

Now irritated, he said, "I don't need to write that down! I canremember that." He then goes down stairs to the kitchen. Afterabout 20 minutes he returned from the kitchen and handed hera plate of bacon and eggs. She stared at the plate for amoment and said angrily: "I TOLD you to write it down! Youforgot my toast!"

Halloween SafetyTips fDr Trick Dr Troating

• Children should always go out trick-ur-traatinqaccompanied by a responsible adult. If you havea group of kids going. the parents shouldchoose two or three of them to go along andkeep an eye on things.

• Some towns set a curfew for trick-nr-treatinqMake sure to stick to the curfew times andstick to subdivisions and areas with a lot ofhomes so your kids can get in as much trick-or-treating as possible in a few hours times.

• Plan a safe route so parents know where theirolder children will be at a" times. Set time fortheir return home. Make sure that your child isold enough H responsible enough to go out bythemselves. Make sure that they have ace"phone.

• Let your child know not to cut through back al-leys and fields. Make sure they know to stay inpopulated areas not to go off the beaten path.Let them know to stay in we" lighted areas withlots of people around.

• Instruct your child to never eat any treats untilthey bring them home to be examined by you.This way you can check for any problem candy.
