Introduction to Ministry:This level is based on developing you as a disciple of Jesus. At this level we focus on biblical grounding, introduction to serving in ministry and helping you unpack leadership principles.

Foundation to ministry:This level is centred on developing you in your ministry gift and experience. At this level we concentrate on developing firm foundations and practical ministry skills. Also we seek to release you to lead in your particular stream.

Ministry intensive: This level is for those with prior leadership/ministry experience who want to become more specialized in their ministry. It is centred on leadership master classes with those who are flourishing in their field and will impart practical wisdom with authority. With a special focus on church planting, this level is for those who want intensive ministry training with a view to being released into full time ministry.

In the church-planting stream, you will learn various ways of approaching the building of teams ready to plant or repurpose churches in any given context. You will learn how church planting has been approached over time and discuss and unpack how to plant churches in a 21st century culture, including how to be both biblically grounded and still be culturally relevant. This level is particularly focused on practical application and you will have the opportunity to outwork theory in any one of our Legacy Campuses on a weekly basis.

Pastoral Care When asked what ‘the main thing’ was, Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and love your neighbour as you love yourself’. If you have a desire to love God more deeply and the people in your world more effectively, then Legacy Academy’s pastoral stream is for you! It has two key foundations: We love God because He first loved us and out of that revelation we are then able to love others and give to them what God has given to us. We focus on two main areas; understanding our identity in God and exploring how we create optimum environments for transformational change to take place in the life of another. This stream will include the following focus areas:

Discipleship Discipleship is all about taking people on their ‘next step.’ At Legacy Academy you will be fully immersed into learning how we take people through their next step on a wide, multi-campus scale. You will be involved in giving support to new Christians, preparing a great environment for people to flourish and be a part of our ‘ESSENTIALS’ track here at Legacy. For a fresh and innovative approach to discipleship in the 21st century, this stream is for you.

YouthLegacy Youth is an unforgettable ministry to be a part of; the young people that you will work alongside and lead will most definitely have an impact on your character and growth. We know at Legacy Church that young people are the next generation of leaders in this world and that is why we place such a high value on shaping them to be the best they can be and building a legacy through and into them. The areas that you will be involved in are schools work, programme planning, creative thinking, youth camps and getaways and de-veloping your own character. Look forward to working alongside you!

Young AdultsYoung adults ministry is at the start of its journey with aims to go far. With our vision to have 100 churches across the world, this ministry is where a large percentage of our leaders will come from. You will be working along-side other young adults and building a culture of connectivity and leadership amongst our 18-30s.

KidsLegacy Kids’ department is bursting with energy and enthusiasm to see boys’ and girls’ lives transformed and living for Jesus. The Bible says that our Father is ‘not willing for any of these little ones to be lost’ (Matthew 18 v 14) which gives us a huge mandate to reach the children of our generation. We do this through many pathways including school assemblies, home visits, weekday children’s clubs, children’s church, holiday clubs, activity days, week-end camps and more! If you want to be a part of this exciting journey, then Legacy Kids’ stream is for YOU!

Social actionWe believe that the local church is called to be a voice and support in the nation and nations of the world. Bill Hybels famously said ‘the local church is the hope of the world’. We totally believe in this, and if you have a heart for people and want to be part of brining hope to those around you, this stream is for you.

Worship and Creative Legacy Worship and Creative team is where we have the privilege, honour and responsibility of being used by God for the local church, joining our gifting and character together to lift up the name of Jesus through multiple kinds of expressions.

If you are interested in developing your musical ability and knowledge, vocal gifting, technical assistance, dance, graphic design, media production and plenty of other opportunities then Legacy Academy’s Worship and Creative team is for you.

CHURCH LIFE AND PRACTICAL MINISTRYPart of being on Academy is the opportunity to get fully immersed into church life, and if Legacy Church is your home church then you will have the chance to be part of the ‘engine-room’ of Legacy.

If your Legacy isn’t your home church then we will encourage you to fully connect with all that is happening there. We will also be chatting with your leaders at your home church to make sure that you are getting the most from your time on Academy.

Being involved in practical ministry is fundamental and essential for you as you grow in your leadership and skill base. Your practical serving helps you see fruit in your ministry and also develops your ability to relate well with all those around you as lives are changed through all that you accomplish.
