Stars and Stripes BlockThese instructions are to make 1 block. Refer to the block diagram for piece placement. Sew 3 assorted red print 1¾” x 11½” rect-angles to 2 assorted cream print or piña colada solid 1¾” x 11½” rectangles to create Unit A. Sew an assorted blue print 6¾” x 9½” rectangle to Unit A to create the Top Unit. Sew 3 assorted cream print or piña colada solid 1¾” x 20½” rectangles to 2 assorted red print 1¾” x 20½” rectangles to create the Bottom Unit. Sew the Top Unit to the Bottom Unit. Sew a cream stars 2½” x 13” rect-angle to each side. Sew a cream stars 1¾” x 24½” rectangle to the top and bottom to complete the Stars and Stripes Block. Repeat to make 4 Stars and Stripes Block.

Quilt Center AssemblyRefer to the quilt photo for Stars and Stripes Block placement. Lay out blocks in 2 rows of 2 blocks. Sew rows together to complete the center of the quilt.

BordersSeam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew side borders first.

Border 1Side borders should be 30½”. Top and bottom borders should be 52½”.

Border 2Side borders should be 34½”. Top and bottom borders should be 66½”.

Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back. Bind with your favorite Riley Blake fabric from the Stars & Stripes Collection. Have fun with your colors and enjoy the journey of making your quilt.
